SERGIO PÉREZ RETURNS TO MEXICO AND CELEBRATES 300 FORMULA 1 GRANDS PRIX WITH SHOW RUN ON PASEO DE LA REFORMA
Cadillac Formula 1® Team and the FORMULA 1 MEXICO CITY GRAND PRIX 2026, with the support of the Government of Mexico City, will host a public exhibition on Wednesday, October 28, at 10:00 a.m.
The event will also mark the first appearance of the American team on Mexican soil as it competes in its debut Formula 1® season.
Mexico City, September 29, 2026 — Sergio Pérez will celebrate his return to Mexico and his 300th Formula 1 Grand Prix with an exciting Show Run along Paseo de la Reforma, in an event organised by Cadillac Formula 1® Team and the FORMULA 1 MEXICO CITY GRAND PRIX 2026 Presented by Heineken, with the support of the Government of Mexico City.
The public exhibition will take place on Wednesday, October 28, starting at 10:00 a.m., allowing fans to experience the homegrown driver's talent and the speed of a Formula 1 car up close at one of the capital's most iconic landmarks.
“Driving down Paseo de la Reforma in front of my home crowd is always an incredible feeling, but doing it with Cadillac F1 Team during our first season together makes it even more special,” said Sergio Pérez. “Reaching 300 Grands Prix is a proud milestone in my career, and there’s no better place to start that celebration than back on the streets of Mexico City with the fans who have supported me every step of the way. I can’t wait to bring the fiesta with to Reforma and kick off an amazing race week.”
The Show Run will hold special significance for Checo, as it will kick off a memorable week in which he will reach 300 Formula 1 Grand Prix starts during his career in the pinnacle of motorsport, placing him among the most experienced drivers in the history of the championship. It will also mark his return to the Formula 1 race in Mexico after missing the event in 2025.

Cadillac Formula 1® Team will make its first appearance at the Mexico GP after joining the 2026 season as the championship’s 11th team. Alongside Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas, the team faces the challenge of bringing its experience to the championship while building an ambitious new Formula 1 project.
