CADILLAC FORMULA 1® TEAM STRENGTHENS TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP WITH SENIOR APPOINTMENTS
September 24, 2026 — Indianapolis, USA and Silverstone, UK — The Cadillac Formula 1® Team today announced three senior technical appointments that mark an important milestone in the continued technical evolution of the organization, strengthening leadership across vehicle development and the broader aerodynamics function.
The new appointments include:
Craig Skinner, Chief Development Engineer
Eric Blandin, Head of Aerodynamics
Tim Lean, Chief Engineer - Aerodynamics Modelling and Simulation
Craig Skinner joins the team following a 20-year career with Red Bull Racing, where he served as Chief Designer and played a key role in the team’s success during its consecutive world championship-winning seasons from 2021 to 2024.
In his new role as Chief Development Engineer, Skinner will provide technical direction across the development process, supporting the connection between car concept, aerodynamics design, analysis and delivery. He will report to Chief Technical Officer, Nick Chester.
Eric Blandin joins the team with over 11 years of experience as Chief Aerodynamicist at Mercedes-AMG Petronas and Deputy Technical Director at Aston Martin F1. He will lead the team’s aerodynamics group and guide its critical growth and report to Nick Chester.
Tim Lean brings over 10 years of aerodynamic experience from McLaren and six years at Red Bull Racing. He was the principal aerodynamicist at Ferrari for over five years and will lead Aerodynamics Modelling and Simulation at Cadillac Formula 1 Team. He will report to Eric Blandin.
These key appointments underscore Cadillac Formula 1 Team’s commitment to developing the technical depth, collaboration and accountability required to support its long-term ambitions in Formula 1. They will all join the team in the next few months.
